Q: Is Camping allowed at Bootleg Canyon?
A: Yes, Boulder City allows camping starting the day before an event until the day after the event. It is dry camping, so please come on a Thursday and stay until Monday. There is no charge and please consider it covered in your event entry fee.

Q: Can I have a small campfire?
A: All campfires MUST be in a raised and contained portable fire pit you bring to the event.

Q: Do I need a license to race?
A: Yes, all racers require either an annual USA Cycling license or a 1-Day license.
As of October 21, USA Cycling’s new Sport:80 platform now offers a better, simpler experience. New users automatically receive a free first-year race license once they:

Add a race license to their cart — the system removes the charge automatically
If you have previously held a USA Cycling license this free license will not be applied, the system looks at the email address and a few other pieces of data to determine if the rider is net-new.

Q: Do I need to be a Nevada, Arizona, California, or Utah State resident to compete or win in the SW Regional Champs?
A: No, all you need is a current/valid USA Cycling annual license to be officially crowned the State/Regional Champion.

Q: What if there are only a couple of others in my age bracket?
A: We will consolidate any age bracket with less than 3 competitors to the next closest age bracket that enhances competition.

Q How much is the cash purse?
A: As of 12-16,2024 there is no Pro Cash purse for the SW Regional Gravity Series.

Q: I am racing in pro and there is only one other is racing against me, can I still win the Pro Cash Purse?
A: If there is a cash purse, to pay the cash pay-out to the Pros, there must be 3 racers in that category. If not, they will still be able to race, but they would receive full credit to be used at a future race we host where there would be competition instead of the cash purse. You have to beat others to win the cash.

Q: Are dogs allowed at the events?
A: Yes, well-behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome but they cannot race with you. It happened once and was not cool!

Q: Are there prizes, medals, or cash if I come in the top 3 in my category/age bracket?
A: All 18 and under that place in the top 3 in their category and age bracket will be awarded medals at the end of each event. Prizes will only be awarded at the finals when series winners are determined.

Q: Are there points or special awards for the series overall?
A: Yes. This point structure will be used for the Coyote Classic, Mojave Meltdown XC series., and the USA Cycling Southwest Regional Gravity Champs.
SERIES POINTS for 2026 SW Regional Champs, Coyote Classic, and Mojave Meltdown XC series.
Must do at least 2 races to qualify.
