Q: Is Camping allowed at Bootleg Canyon?

A: Yes, Boulder City allows camping starting the day before an event until the day after the event. It is dry camping, so please come on a Thursday and stay until Monday. There is no charge and please consider this covered in your event entry fee.

Q: Do I need a license to race?

A: Yes, all racers require either an annual USA Cycling license or a 1-Day license.

              01) Annual licenses are required to race in Pro and Category 1. Click HERE for details.

              02) 1-Day-licenses can be used to race in Open, Category 2, 3, or 14 and Under categories, are $10 and can be bought when you register.

              Note. For Enduro only: 1-Day licenses can be used in Open and Category 1.

Q: Do I need to be a Nevada State resident to compete or win in the Nevada State Championships?

A: No, all you need is a current/valid USA Cycling annual license to be officially crowned the State/Regional Champion.

Q: Are dogs allowed at the events?

A: Yes, well-behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome.

Q: Are there prizes, medals, or cash if I come in the top 3 in my category/age bracket?

A: For the January and February event all that place in the top 3 will win medals. If you are in an 18 and under age bracket, you will also win a prize of your choice from either the 1st place, 2nd place, or 3rd place prize tables set-up for the awards ceremony. For the finals in March, all categories and age brackets win both medals and prizes. Pros never get awarded with prizes but always win cash.

Q: I see category choices on the registration but no age brackets. Are there age brackets too?

A: We use these age brackets at most of our races and you will be placed in the correct age bracket by your date of birth.

Men: 6-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50+

Women: 6-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-30 and 30+

Q: Are there points or special awards for the series overall?

A:  Yes, the overall awards ceremony will immediately follow the awards for the Reaper Madness. Enduro overall awards on Saturday, March 13, 2021, and Downhill overall awards on Sunday, March 14, 2021. No additional prizes or cash, but a unique and larger medal for Overall Series Champions.  Points will be awarded as follows:  DNF = 1 point and DNS = 0 points.

Q: The 1st event sold out fast and I did not race so can I still compete in the series?

A: Yes, as we will count your best 2 races now.

Q: What about ties?

A: 1 point will be awarded for each person in your age group you beat.
